Educators at the Cafe

Educators at the Cafe (EATC) will be a global online community where changemakers in education (educators and school leaders) connect, collaborate, and craft their plans to implement meaningful reforms.

Like a bustling coffeehouse, EATC is designed as a space for conversation, innovation, and action. Inside educators and school leaders come together to discuss the future of education, not just in theory, but in practice.

We share innovative ideas, evolve them into plans, and grow those plans into real, sustainable change in schools and classrooms.

Why I Do This Work

"Making a difference" and "Being the change" are inspiring phrases, but they can feel isolating when you're the only one in your school pushing for reform.

Too often, educators advocating for change are met with resistance, or labeled as “disruptive” or told they’re “not being a team player". Many feel forced to choose between their pedagogical integrity and their mental well-being (i.e. burnout) or professional relationships.

At EATC, we believe you shouldn’t have to make that choice. Advocating for better education should not come at the cost of your integrity, nor your passion for teaching.

Instead, lasting improvements in education should be a collaborative effort, fueled by a strong, supportive group of like-minded professionals.

What We Offer

EATC is the go-to hub for purpose-driven educators who want to implement real, research-based reforms in their schools, talk with other educators who feel the same, and do the work that truly impacts students and their community.

Join Us For

Mentorship coffee chats: Small, focused groupings of educators and leaders who gather regularly (free) to discuss the challenges, frustrations, and collaboratively design effective, sustainable initiatives. We show up to support each other and address the practical and the emotional challenges involved in educational change.

A Network of Collaborators: In our bustling digital world, changemakers from across the globe can connect to share ideas, strategies, and successes. We strongly encouraging borrowing what's already working from each other, instead of reinventing the wheel.

Live Trainings that Support Systemic Change: The requests and needs expressed by the coffee chat attendees (the... Educators at the Cafe 😉) will lead the trainings offered. Some will be "in-house" and sometimes I'll ask an educational reformer friend to join us.

The Coffeehouse Concept

Throughout history, coffeehouses have been gathering places for thinkers, revolutionaries, and innovators. EATC embodies that same spirit - a space where educators and leaders come together, over a metaphorical (or literal) cup of coffee, to reimagine and reshape education.

We believe educators should feel valued, fulfilled, and empowered in their work. We also believe that true educational reform starts from within schools, led by the professionals who know them best. By supporting changemakers like you, we’re planting the seeds for a revolution—one that ensures educators are heard, respected, and positioned as the driving force behind the future of education.
