Educators (my 1st grade teammates) coworking at the cafe, literally!

I help educators & school leaders implement initiatives for student impact today, not tomorrow.
Curious about our first ever Educators at the Cafe mentorship cohort?
You are here on purpose. You are an educator who knows you have value and are more than the daily grind. You will find your way to impact education with or without our EATC community. I believe in you and the power you have to make a difference in the world. My ultimate goal is to support you as you make waves of impact in education, wherever you are. And I want you to know that you aren't alone in being a passionate changemaker educator.
At my apartment in India taking a break from teaching 1st grade online during the Pandemic.
For 10 years, I taught in top-ranked American international schools in Brazil, India, and Saudi Arabia, working with creative, determined educators who were making daily improvements to education. I’ve also been the lone voice in the room, pushing back against outdated policies, proposing solutions, and hearing my ideas dismissed as “too complicated” or “idealistic".
I know the frustration of wanting to create real change in education while feeling unsupported. That’s why I built EATC - to be the space I wish I had, where educators and leaders can collaborate, share strategies, and turn ideas into action.
More About Me
I’m an American living in Brazil with my husband and cat, currently learning Portuguese. I believe that lifelong learning is the key to happiness, and that inspired educators inspire a love of learning in others.
I’ve taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades and coached middle & high school soccer, and I’m forever grateful to the international schools that took a chance on me and embraced me as a changemaker educator.
Now, my next chapter is about supporting changemaker educators like you, because you don’t have to do this work alone.
P.S. I love karaoke! 🎤
Hi, I'm Christina Kottmann!
I’m the founder of Educators at the Cafe, a global community of changemaker educators and school leaders who are driving meaningful reform, without self-sacrifice, and never in isolation.
