With my energetic 4th graders in an international school!

Educators (my grade level teammates) coworking at the cafe, literally!

I help changemaker educators focus their efforts so they can make a difference without burning out or feeling isolated.
You feeling renewed and impactful as you teach and lead with intention as a changemaker in your community.
Curious about our Educators at the Cafe community?
You are here on purpose. You are an educator who knows you have value and are more than the daily grind. You will find your way to impact education with or without our EATC community. I believe in you and the power you have to make a difference in the world. My ultimate goal is to support you as you make waves of impact in education, wherever you are. And I want you to know that you aren't alone in being a passionate changemaker educator.
At my apartment in India during my years teaching 1st grade during the Pandemic.

I coached high school boys soccer in Saudi Arabia while teaching 1st grade, in my first 3 years teaching internationally. I was the only female head coach in the league. We won 2 championships.
I taught abroad for the last 10 years as an elementary educator in some of the top-ranked American International schools globally.
I have been in educational communities where I was surrounded by creative, determined educators who were making improvements to education daily.
I've also been in schools where I was the only one pushing back against outdated policies, suggesting alternatives, and hearing my ideas flutter to the floor in meetings as the leaders muttered that they were "too complicated" and I was being "disruptive".
Hi, I'm Christina Kottmann!
I'm a mentor for educators who are changemakers. We will make a difference and we won't burn out while doing it.

Hi again, I'm Christina!
I'm an American living abroad in Brazil with my husband and cat, and I'm learning Portuguese. I believe that lifelong learning is a key to happiness and that inspired educators inspire a love of learning in others.
I love talking about education, supporting teachers, and connecting with amazing educators worldwide.
I taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades in American International schools in Brazil, India, and Saudi Arabia for the last 10 years (2014-2024). I also coached soccer for middle & high school teams.
I'm forever thankful to the international schools that took a chance on me and embraced me as a changemaker educator. I learned so much in my 10 years in the classroom and I am excited for my next chapter as I support my fellow educators.
P.S. I love karaoke!
